Design

The filter has two zinc coated steel end caps on both sides, the upper one with a glued plastic ring to hold the following filter in position and the lower one with a glued cylindrical gasket for tide connection to housing. The reinforced pleated filter media (FA8267) is potted together with the expanded zinc coated steel screens into the caps with polyurethane. The embossed pleating spacers on the top of each pleat and the hot melt fixation on the inside ensures the uniform shape of the filter media through the filter lifetime. This construction gives a highly active filter surface with a high dust holding capacity and a low pressure drop.

Testing

Each filter is tested on size and also visually tested for tightness and complementation. In our laboratory, we check the tensile strength of un-pleated and pleated media using the dumb-bell shape of each roll.
Furthermore, the design of those cartridges is approved through many kinds of examinations, such as the dust holding / pressure drop test and also the rust and extreme condition tests.

The GRV conical filter cartridges are especially designed to meet the high demands of gas ­turbine air filtration systems. The special ­filtration media provides maximum protection for the turbine. The outstanding durability and the high efficiency of the filter media decreases the risk of dust entering due to media failure and decreases the values due to high penetration.

The G90 Series is designed for a longer lifetime with reduced maintenance costs. All G90 filters are designed for easy installation in existing HVAC systems and perform well as the primary filter or as a prefilter for extending the life of a high efficiency filter.

The G90 filters have an average efficiency of 30% to 60%. All testing is done in accordance with the ASHRAE 52-1 standard guidelines. The G90 filter has more media area for improved performance and longevity. The G90 filter is designed for applications requiring higher efficiency and arrestance. All units are available in 1”, 2”, and 4” thicknesses.

The G90 1”, 2”, and 4” filters are available in unlimited sizes. This will make increased efficiency available in all applications.

One of the most common air filtration products (high efficiency filtration) are panel filters and compact filters, applied in a variety of industries. These include filters for HVAC, cleanrooms, clean environments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and more.

Both the panel filter and the compact filter (also known as v-shape or v-bank filter) are based on a pleated structure. It is this structure that allows greater quantities of air to pass through the filter, while reducing pressure and accumulating more dust and particles within the filter due to increase of the filtration area.

Gas Absorption Filter

Also referred to as carbon filters, the Filt-Air gas absorption filters prevent penetration of gases into a given space. These gas absorption filters differ from partial filtration solutions (such as Fine Dust, HEPA, and ULPA), as they contain active carbon that can absorb a variety of gases. The filters may contain either granules of active carbon or a combined particle filtration media that is soaked with carbon – to ensure optimal outcomes.

The use of carbon filters is of the utmost importance for industries who deal with harmful gases, including biological institutes, chemistry manufacturers, radioactive research centers, and semiconductor manufacturers. In addition, these are widely used by defense authorities for protection against CBRN threats.

Fan Filter Unit

Fan Filter Units (FFU) are most frequently seen in cleanrooms, which are actively cleansed, well isolated, and have low concentrations of airborne particles.

The FFU is an essential element in cleanrooms in semiconductor manufacturing, the pharmaceutical industry, scientific research laboratories, and other facilities that require a controlled environment.

The Filt-Air FFU is a combined device within a special housing, which includes a high efficiency filter and a blower, and can also include an electronic controlling system. Multiple FFU devices can be installed on the cleanroom ceiling, in line with the specific requirements of each cleanroom and classification.

Safe Change Housing (BIBO)

Facilities for dealing with biological, chemical, and radioactive hazardous materials are required to have a safe change housing for the contaminated filters. Such systems are also known as Bag in Bag out (BIBO).
